Job Profiles

As a Vermeer Sales Representative you’ll be delivering your customers in your territory a world-class product portfolio, with emphasis on prospecting and managing the sales process – allowing you to scale your earnings with a very attractive bonus-per-sale structure.

Our equipment sales team are client focused, constantly on the road maintaining existing relationships and creating new ones. They have excellent communication skills and strategic vision toward achieving the best sales outcome in their territory.  They are team players, supported by a comprehensive after-sales offering.

If this sounds like you, and a career in equipment sales at Vermeer beckons, previous experience in construction, mechanical engineering, mining or the equipment industries would be beneficial. A proven track record track record in sales would definitely be an advantage, but the right attitude is more important to us. You will be provided with comprehensive training in sales techniques, our sales process, as well as gaining applicable product, industry and sector knowledge through a combination of mentoring, self-paced training modules and ongoing training events.

Our Parts Specialists assist external and internal customers with their parts needs, and are the first point of contact for incoming phone and walk-in parts requests. They are responsible for maintaining and building our customer relationships and are a key provider of the quality after-sales support that differentiates us. More than just taking orders, our Parts Specialists run their counter like a business, always seeking ways to grow revenue and better meet our customer’s needs.

The volume and diversity of our parts holdings and the complex logistics required to support customers and projects across many industries means our storepersons are the best in the game.

Vermeer Service Technicians are responsible for high quality and effective maintenance, repair and overhaul, as well as pre-delivery preparation, of the best quality specialist equipment. Our Service Technicians maintain professionalism, keeping appropriate and detailed records for time, parts, supplies, purchases and repairs in the course of their work. Attention to detail, and recognition of the critical role they plan in our business and the customer relationship, is key.

Their mechanical/technical aptitude and working knowledge of complex hydraulic, electrical, and electronic CAN-BUS systems, and a talent for diagnostics, sets them apart. Qualifications typically include Diesel Fitter, Fitter & Turner, and Motor Mechanic.  On-the-job training in applicable product, industry and sector knowledge is available through a combination of mentoring, self-paced training modules and ongoing training events, with the opportunity to undertake Vermeer Corporation’s Certified Master Technician program.

Vermeer Field Service Technicians are responsible for high quality and effective repair of the best quality specialist equipment —in the field. Able to work independent of direct supervision and offering excellent customer service in diverse job locations, our Field Service Technicians maintain professionalism, keeping appropriate and detailed records for time, parts, supplies, purchases and repairs in the course of their work.

Their mechanical/technical aptitude and working knowledge of complex hydraulic, electrical, and electronic CAN-BUS systems, and a talent for diagnostics, sets them apart. Qualifications typically include Diesel Fitter, Fitter & Turner, and Motor Mechanic. On-the-job training in applicable product, industry and sector knowledge is available through a combination of mentoring, self-paced training modules and ongoing training events, with the opportunity to undertake Vermeer Corporation’s Certified Master Technician program.

Our Office Administrators provide the organisation and sales team with essential day-to-day operational support in areas like accounts payable and receivable, invoicing and account maintenance. The role is fast-paced, supporting a high volumes of sales across multiple industries and diverse locations.
