Open up big opportunities. The Vermeer family of horizontal grinders just got bigger with the introduction of the HG8000 horizontal grinder. With the largest infeed opening it its class, your productivity and job possibilities have expanded, too. Powered by a 1050 hp (783.3 kW) CAT Tier 2 engine, this grinder handles big diameter wood and large, brushy debris with ease. Designed to tackle tough jobs, the HG8000 enables productivity for the long-haul.

Feature: Largest mill opening with durable infeed system.
Benefit: This allows the unit to be able to process not only greater volumes of material, but also larger product that is usually reserved for tub grinders.

Feature: Loadout conveyor
Benefit: A large loadout conveyor allows contractors to be able to process greater volumes of material with less spillage or plugging while remote operation allows the flexibility in placing material.

Feature: Dual planetary feed roller drive
Benefit: This feature provides more pulling power and reliability than a single planetary drive

Feature: Undermill conveyor
Benefit: A wide single-belt design eliminates the typical transition area between the loadout conveyor and undermill conveyor, reducing chances of material bridging.

Feature: Clean jobsite
Benefit: While most grinders need to be moved often and the area cleaned out underneath, the overlapping conveyors on the HG8000 reduce spillage and decrease time spent on cleanup.
